I was with two of my girl friends. One of them had been spiked and all our phones were dead, it was after 4am and we were stranded on the street in Blackpool with our friend who was unable to move or see. There was no one around. It was clear she had been spiked as she was only mildly drunk when we left the club, and then suddenly collapsed as we started to walk towards our friend’s house, her vision went black and she was screaming in pain. A car of three men offered us a lift home for £10, as we were desperate and worried (and young and naive), we got in the car. I regret it so much and feel so guilty for putting us in danger for getting in the car with them. One of the men began to assault my friend who’d been spiked by putting his hand up her skirt. As soon as I noticed I screamed at them to let us out. We were then left on the street again. Fortunately a taxi drove past and stopped and the driver was very caring and gave us first aid advice and helped us to get our friend home.
