I was out on a works do and I went outside the bar to phone a friend to come and pick me up to take me home and a man followed me outside. I walked up to the art gallery to wait and the man followed me, he sat and talked to me and kept asking me to go home with him. I then started walking away from him and he again followed me to outside Funny Girls. I then started running and he went into a take away. I got to the train station car park and thought I had got away from him but he found me again and tackled me to the ground, he pinned me down and pulled my pants down and that’s when he began to rape me. I screamed for help as loud as I could with what felt like a lifetime. Luckily there was staff in the train station that heard me and helped me. I was saved by them and they called the police. Unfortunately the man was never caught, the police did everything they could to try and find him for 2 years. I hadn’t drank much that night because I was a new member of staff and didn’t want to embarrass myself but there was drugs in my system and I couldn’t remember the night until last year when I had therapy.
