went to the bar, my boyfriend was inside I went outside for a cigarette & the door supervisor refused to let me in to get my boyfriend, I felt vulnerable outside this bar alone & needed my boyfriend, the doorman became verbally aggressive & I quote “ he was sick of girls like me in Blackpool thinking we could do what ever the F we wanted” I became scared at a man speaking to me in this tone, fast forward one week & so returned to the bar, the same door man grabbed me by the arm very tight and it was hurting & he wouldn’t let go despite me pleading for him to. he then became very aggressive & forced me to apologise for asking to get back in the bar to get boyfriend. this experience was scary & humiliating as it was in front of a lot of customers. I now have bruising to my upper arm, when the person I was out with asked if he felt he should perhaps apologise to her for how he spoke to her he became extremely verbally aggressive to her. i did not enter the venue and went else where as we just didn’t feel safe in the slightest. this man is supposed to protect the people who visit this bar & he was just an aggressive man who scared two women. as someone who has visited this bar for a long time I have never witnessed such aggression towards two women from a man who is employed to make sure everyone is safe. we certainly felt unsafe. I dread to think what could have happened had we stayed, This man is a clear danger to women.
