Intimidation

Aged 35

2021

I was walking to the park with my nine year old daughter and we were crossing the junction at West Park Drive where there’s a small island in the middle. We had crossed half way and traffic was queuing to go around the roundabout on the side we still needed to cross. We could have easily nipped across in-between cars but instead of waving us through a man in a white van pulled right in front of us so we were basically face to face with him and just starred at us while he waited for the traffic to move. This was such a small thing but it felt very intentional and intimidating. It unsettled me especially considering I was with my daughter who it was quite difficult to explain it to.
